Analysis of 1 Kings 11 — A Heart Split Like an Altar, Gods Carried in Wedding Gifts, and a Kingdom Torn Like Cloth: When Wisdom Forgets to Love

The fall of a kingdom does not begin with a sword.

It begins with a seat at the table.

A marriage bed.

A small shrine “just in case.”

It begins when love is divided

and worship becomes negotiable.

And then—slowly—

altars multiply,

the Name is diluted,

and the heart that once asked for wisdom

forgets to ask for faithfulness.

This is what we see in 1 Kings 11

A king in regal attire, surrounded by women in ornate robes, lounges on cushions. Rich colors and detailed patterns create a lavish setting.
