Crowns fall like fruit in a storm.
A king dies.
A son lasts two years.
A servant lights the palace on fire.
Smoke rises over a throne room.
And still the altar stays false.
Because the problem is deeper than dynasties.
It is worship.
Then a stronger man comes—
and buys a hill with silver.
He builds a city.
He gives it a name.
And sin—once a personal compromise—
becomes a national architecture.
This is 1 Kings 16.
