A sister becomes a meal prepared for a lie.

A door shuts with a bolt.

A princess walks out wearing ashes.

Two years pass like quiet poison.

“the sword shall not depart from your house.” (2 Samuel 12:10)

Analysis of 2 Samuel 13 — Cakes in the Dark, a Door Bolted, and a Feast Turned to Blood. Tense scene of men in ancient attire at a table. One holds a knife, others look emotional. Plates of food and goblets visible. Dusty setting.
“the sword shall not depart from your house.” (2 Sam 12:10)
