Here is 1 Kings 1
The king is cold.
The palace is warm with rumors.
A beautiful girl is brought in—not for love, but for optics.
A son builds a parade before he builds obedience.
A prophet listens for the covenant inside the commotion.
A mother walks into the bedroom carrying a promise.
Oil is poured.
A trumpet speaks.
And a city splits into two songs—
one at a feast by a stone,
one by a spring where God loves to start new things.
